The Use of Style Sheets
Newer University web sites are encouraged to use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in lieu of tables for positioning. In addition, relative and adjustable font sizes, layout, and positioning are to be used whenever possible.
CSS used with Appalachian State University's top tier and webmaster web sites have been developed with accessibility in mind. The use of relative and adjustable font sizes and positioning was utilized when appropriate and careful consideration was given to color choices.
Some browsers allow styles sheets to be disabled or overridden - check the feature list of your browser for availability of this feature and instructions for making CSS changes.

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key.
